OPEN ENROLLMENT
All parents/guardians must enroll their child for the 2025-26 school year (NO student is automatically enrolled). All registration is 100% online, paper registration is no longer available.
If your child is a transfer student for GISD, you must complete the paper transfer packet yearly. Transfer students are subject to acceptance/denial on a yearly review basis followed by enrollment access. After submission of your Transfer Student Paperwork, you will be contacted and told to begin ONLINE ENROLLMENT. Please click below to access your Transfer Student Paperwork.

Steps for New Student Enrollment
If you have never set up your parent portal CLICK HERE and select the CREATE ACCOUNT tab (after verifying your email--log out and log back in).
Select "Enroll a New Student" and complete the 6 Step Online Registration Process. Be certain to complete Step 4 during the Registration process in its entirety. Step 5 of Enrollment Forms will provide you with a Student Registration Check List of HARD COPY documents that must be turned into the Registrar's office at the completion of registration. You must also complete all 13 steps of Step 5.
Select the ENROLL STUDENT Blue Icon on the bottom right of the page when done with Step 5.
After reaching Step 6: "Final Steps" you may print or save the Enrollment Confirmation Page for your records. Granger ISD will process your Enrollment Request at this point. After processing you will receive confirmation on the acceptance status of your enrollment request.
If ACCEPTED, Granger ISD will then provide you an acceptance letter that will allow you to link your student to your PARENT PORTAL account. You must link your student to your PARENT PORTAL account to fully complete the remaining registration requirements.
After linking your student to your PARENT PORTAL account, LOG OUT, LOG BACK IN, and select RESUME REGISTRATION on the POP UP WINDOW (It is important to note that your parent portal email must match the email on your students contact list to continue on from this point).
Select START REGISTRATION, complete all steps, select "FINISH and SUBMIT to DISTRICT".
If ALL forms are 100% complete then you have successfully enrolled and registered with Granger ISD. REMINDER- We will need to reach out to you for information to complete forms that are left incomplete and those will be finalized at THAT time.
Steps for Returning Students - Under a 10 minute process!
Log into your Ascender Parent Portal account and verify student information by clicking the RED REGISTRATION button on each of your student(s). Complete the several step process of updating all information, your final step will present the button "FINISH and SUBMIT to DISTRICT".
If you need to reset your Ascender password or you can not remember your username, click the "Forgot Password?" or "Forgot User Name?"
