HS Boys Basketball Day 1 at the Moody Tournament: JV picked up a win vs CTCS this afternoon (29-32) Varsity played 2 games and finished the day 1-1: losing to Texas Wind in OT (49-40) but winning later on vs Vanguard (42-45) Both teams play tomorrow in Moody at 11:30 am
JV girls basketball team finished day one of the Moody tournament 1 and 1. The girls lost the first game vs Bremond but finished the day off with a win against Moody. Lead scorer for both games was Nevaeh Campos. Brooklyn Gaswint lead the way on defense. Last game tomorrow @ 3.
The Varsity Girls started tournament play today at the Moody Tournament against a Tough Bremond team. Although a valiant effort. The Lady Lions came up short. Catch the Lady Lions back in action tomorrow in Moody at 12:20.

The JH boys basketball teams battled Thrall tonight on the road. The mixed team and 7th grade teams had two tough games, dropping both. The 8th grade was able to pull off a close one at the end, hanging on to a late lead for the win. Catch them next week at home vs Thorndale.

HS Boys Basketball played their home-openers last night: Boys JV lost in a very tight and competitive game vs Florence by a score of 21-19. Boys Varsity started the season strong with a win vs the Buffaloes by a score of 27-39. C. Tucker led the Lions with 14 points, 12 rebounds; T. Herrera also added 10 points, 4 steals. Both teams will be playing at the Moody Tournament this week (November 30-December 1).
Junior varsity girls basketball returned to the hardwood after Thanksgiving break with a 24-12 win over Rosebud Lott. Nevaeh Campos lead the boards with 13 followed by Kailey Castaneda with 6 points. Catch the girls in action at the Moody tournament this Thursday and Friday.

Belton ISD has reported online ticket issues with their distribution partner for tonight's playoff game vs Chilton. They have advised that if you are having issues to keep trying, and if no resolution is found with your device, they will provide help at the gate entrance at tonight's game!

Junior Varsity Lady Lions basketball team took another win today! The girls beat Bruceville Eddy 34-10. Leading the Lady Lions was Nevaeh Campos with 20 points followed by Jasmine Leamer with 9 points. Much needed Thanksgiving break and much to be thankful for!
Today the Lady Lions welcomed the Lady Eagles from Bruceville Eddy to town. Down 21-7 after 1. The Lady Lions scrapped three way back, but in the end the Lady Lions came up short. The Lady Lions were paced by Montana Moore's 10 points

The Lady Lions took on the Lexington Lady Eagles today. The Lady Lions, fought hard but came up short at the end. Catch the Lady Lions back in action tomorrow as the Lady Lions host the Bruceville-Eddy Lady Eagles. With the JV starting at 11 with Varsity to follow. #FAW
Lady Lions Junior Varsity basketball squad brought home a solid win today over Lexington. Lead scorers were Neveah Campos and Brooklyn Gaswint! Girls are back on the hard wood tomorrow at 11 am at the Lions Den vs Bruceville Eddy.
The Junior High girls basketball team competed in the Thrall tournament Saturday. They placed second in their pool and played St Stephen's in their final game. Even though we came up short on the scoreboard, the ladies never stopped playing hard. Great job by all. We will take on Thrall, November 30th after a much deserved break.
