3/10/25 - Granger FFA Members spent their first day of Spring Break by traveling to Houston at 5am for the HLSR Horse Judging Contest. It was a great experience for all and worth the early morning!

The Lady Lions softball team was on fire this morning! Ari Herrera had 13 strikeouts on the mound!! Izzy T hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 4th! The Lady Lions won 10-0 with 13 hits on the day! The Lady Lions are back in action tomorrow in Thorndale at 12:00!

Granger Varsity pounds out 10 hits to come away with a 16-4 victory over Round Top. The JV battled hard but fell short to the Austin Texans. We'll be back in action Monday at noon for our district opener in Granger against Bartlett.

This week, our students have had a blast celebrating Read Across America Week! To top it off, they spent the past two days enjoying a community-sponsored book fair, made possible by the generosity of our parents who donated books. Each child earned ābook bucksā through positive reinforcement, making their shopping experience even more exciting and rewarding. Our kiddos absolutely loved it! A huge thank you to Mrs. Griffits, our wonderful librarian, for organizing this event, and to our amazing parent volunteers for taking time out of their day to help make it a success!

Did you know Granger has a Floriculture Team? This is a new team being trained in our FFA Chapter. This contest tests student's knowledge in the Floriculture industry regarding Plant ID, Arrangement Evaluation, Retail Math and more!
Our Granger FFA CDE Teams wrapped up their first round of contests today! Over the past week our teams: Livestock, Milk Quality, Vet Science, Floriculture and Horse Judging, have covered many miles competing in their respective events!
Next stop is the Houston Rodeo!
Reminder! Tomorrow, Friday, March 7, is an early release at 1 PM, kicking off Spring Break (March 10-14). There will also be no school on Monday, March 17, as it is a teacher in-service day. Enjoy the break!
