This Week’s Pep Rally will be on Thursday, September 4 @ 2:12 PM in the Competition Gym, 301 N. Colorado.
The theme is Gold Out the Bulldogs—so wear your gold out shirts to show your Lion pride! (REMINDER: This year’s Gold Out shirts are available for purchase in the office) To help us keep student & staff safety a top priority, please complete this form if you plan on attending:
Pep Rally Check In Form

Visitor badges will be pre-printed Wednesday afternoon for anyone who has already scanned their valid Texas driver’s license into our Raptor System. Pre-printed badges may be picked up 15 minutes prior to the pep rally at the event location.
If you have not had your ID scanned, please stop by any GISD office this week prior to the pep rally to have your ID scanned.
Office Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM–4:00 PM
Due to Monday being a holiday, there is limited time to submit the form. Starting next week, the pep rally link will be posted every Monday during pep rally weeks.
After school ends Wednesday, the form will no longer be monitored. At that point, visitors will need to check in at any campus office.

Lions, we have several changes happening this upcoming week for athletics:

Varsity Football - the game against Thorndale is moving to Thursday night, still at 7:00 pm, in Taylor
JV Football - the game at Thorndale is moving to Friday, still in Thorndale, still at 6:00 pm
JH Football - the scrimmage against Thrall is moving to Wednesday, still in Thrall, still at 5:00 pm
JH Volleyball - the game against Thorndale is moving to Wednesday, still at home, still at 5:00 pm

If you have not had your license scanned at a GISD office for the 2025–2026 school year, please do so before the pep rally begins. (Offices are open Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, and Friday before the pep rally.)
Please Note: Since this week’s announcement is coming out on Thursday, we know it doesn’t leave much time to complete the form. Don’t worry—starting next week, the pep rally link will be posted every Monday during weeks when we are having a pep rally.
